Overview
Georgia’s Child Professional Training, Inc. (GCPT) continued its mission to prepare young people for postsecondary success, career readiness, and lifelong self-efficacy. Through strategic partnerships, rigorous training, and youth-centered support, we strengthened pathways to education, employment, and personal growth for Metro Atlanta’s emerging leaders.
Key Highlights & Accomplishments
Youth Served & Program Reach
Over 100 youth served through interactive professional development training, mentoring, and post-secondary options services
93% of program participants reported that they would recommend GCPT services to others
Education & Postsecondary Success
More than 1/2 of Spring 2025 GED graduates supported through our programs have enrolled in college and/or secured employment, marking a significant step toward long-term economic mobility.
Skill Development & Participant Growth
Based on post-training evaluations, youth demonstrated an 85% increase in communication skills, which aided in conflict resolution and overall confidence.
Participants reported feeling better equipped to navigate interviews, workplace expectations, and academic environments.
Community Partnerships
We collaborated with 16 agencies, schools, and mentoring programs across Metro Atlanta, expanding access to resources and creating a unified network of support for youth and families.
Collaborative partnerships strengthened referral pipelines and fostered a more holistic approach to youth development.
Mentor Recruitment & Training
13 mentors were professionally trained using standardized onboarding tools aligned with Georgia state requirements, including:
Fingerprint background checks
Mandatory reporting protocols
Youth-centered engagement strategies
